With festive period day right around the corner, we are looking to cash in on today’s top betting odds and predictions. All the top leagues are in full swing, and we’ve prepared a good number of winners from all over Europe to form up a great parlay based on the best football betting picks. In the Premier League, Liverpool’s 10-point lead has been reduced to just two and Chelsea could actually go top of the table with a win against Everton in the first fixture. Last night in Spain’s Primera, Barcelona suffered a second straight defeat at home, and what looked like a season where they would win the league is now slowly crumbling into another crisis. Real Madrid will be looking to take advantage when they host Sevilla today. So without further ado, let’s get the betting party started.
Leicester v Wolves Prediction
In a relegation battle featuring two illustrious teams in the Premier League, Leicester take on Wolves. There has been a managerial change at both clubs in this season. Ruud van Nistelrooy was recently appointed in charge of the Foxes, who now sit just a couple of points above the relegation zone (14). There is also a new man in charge of Woolverhampton as Vitor Pereira’s will take charge for the first time this Sunday afternoon. A new manager always gives a boost early on, and Wolves seem like a team that should be higher than their current league table suggests having picked just nine points from their first 16 matches. I firmly expect Wolves to avoid defeat in this game. In fact, Woolverhampton are viewed as favorites to win the game at 2.50, while a Leicester win would pay off at 2.80.
The bad news for Wolves is that Pablo Sarabia, who is one of their better attacking players will miss out with a calf injury. Rayan Ait-Nouri misses out as well after receiving a red card against Ipswhich.
The Foxes might be without their starting goalkeeper Mads Hermansen out with a groin injury, while influential battler in midfield Wilfred Ndidi is out with a thigh injury. Good news for them is that Harry Winks returns, and so does Boubakary Soumare. Ricardo Pereira and Issahaku Fatawu remain unavailable with long term injuries.
Roma v Parma Prediction
Continuing with today’s top betting odds and predictions, we head south to the Eternal City of Rome, where AS Roma will be looking to improve under recently appointed Claudio Ranieri. Parma, however, is a dangerous young team and will not go down without putting a decent fight.
Dybala will likely start up front to form a triangle with Ukrainian center forward Dovbyk and Sule on the right side. Roma’s attacking trident is not among the most feared in Italy, but they should be able to nick a goal or two. They had a nice midweek win in the Coppa Italia beating Sampdoria by 4:1, but they lost to lowly Como last Sunday without even scoring (2:0).
Meanwhile, Parma suffered an unexpected home defeat against Verona by 2:3 after getting pumped by Inter by 3:1 at the Meazza, so they’ve conceded six goals in their last two matches.
Wolfsburg v Borrusia Dortmund Prediction
One of the best Bundesliga betting picks for today is on the game between Wolfsburg v Borussia Dortmund. Borussia started on the season strong, but they’ve now dropped to the middle of the table, which is an unusual position for them. They are currently 10th in the Bundesliga with 22 points after 14 matches, while Wolfsburg are just behind them a point less. It has been a major step backwards for BVB after playing a Champions League final last season. They need to make up for some of that lost ground and starting winning games. An away win for them today is rated at 2.10, which is not a bad betting tip. I expect this to be a high scoring entertaining game.
