Club football is coming back this weekend, and we start with a bang with the best Man City v Liverpool prediction. These two clubs have formed the biggest rivalry in England in recent years with the Reds being the only team that’s been able to cut through City’s dominance since 2017. The Citizens have won all Premier League titles since 2017 except for 2019 when Liverpool ended their drought and won the league.
There have been major clashes between the two sides in the Champions League too. As things stand right now, after 12 rounds in the Premier League, City are at the top with 28 points, while the Reds are second wtih 27. A win for Liverpool in this derby will see them take over the number one spot, but a defeat will open a gap between them and Gurdiola’s men. Thus, a lot is at stake, so let’s see who will come out on top with the most accurate Man City v Liverpool prediction for November 25, 2023.
Goals On The Menu
An interesting stat about this Man City v Liverpool prediction is that it has been an absolute goal fest whenever these two teams have clashed recently. In fact, in seven of the last eight games between them, there have been at least four goals! A bet on Over 3.5 Goals pays off quite nicely at the odds of 2.20. That’s one our best free betting tips for this weekend.
Salah Chasing History
Mohammed Salah has now scored 149 goals in the Premier League, so his next one would be quite the landmark. There is no better opponent for Salah to get in the history book than City. Getting that 150th goal against their biggest rivals in recent years would be ideal. Looking at the online sportsbooks, and the Goalscorers market in particular, the odds for Salah to Score The First Goal in the match are 7.00. However, the safer and yet one of the best Man City v Liverpool predictions and bets is for Salah to Score at Anytime at about 3.00.

Man City Team News
Guardiola has some injury concerns to deal with going into the derby. However, the latest developments have the injury situtation not as bad as initially considered. Haaland picked up an ankle injury on duty for Norway and was ruled out for the match against Liverpool at first. However, he is now expected to play with a 75% chance of featuring. Ederson also picked up a knock on international duty for Brazi, but he too, is expected to play.
The major injury doubts for City are Nathan Ake and Matheus Nunes, altough Ake was pictured training with the squad yesterday, as you can see from City’s official Twitter feed. However, the players that will certainly miss the game for the Citizens are Kevin De Bruyne, John Stones, Mateo Kovacic and Sergio Gomez.

Liverpool Team News
Going into this clash, Jurgen Klopp won’t be able to rely on the services of starting left-back Andy Robertson, who remains out with a shoulder injury. However, the good news for the Reds is that Ryan Gravenberch, Curtis Jones, Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez are all expected to be available this weekend. All four skipped international duties and trained at Melwood, and have now fully recovered from their respctive knocks. These are the rare times when the international break can help teams as some injured or non-called up players can use these off days to recover.
The long-term injuries for Liverpool are Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcetic. However, the Reds have reinforced their midfield over the summer, and Szoboszlai has settled in quite nicely. Szobo was also in top form for Hungary this past week. Also, Tsimikas has played quite well in recent games, recording several assists, so the absence of Andy Robertson should not be felt.
