Ivica Olic scored a hattrick to send his Bayern Munich side to the 2010 Champions League Final to be played at Santiago Bernabeu on May 22nd. It was an incredible performance by the Croat combined with a poor display from Lyon. Lyon was definitely the weaker team in both games as they couldn’t even score a single goal in 180 minutes against the Germans. Lyon looked predictable in attack and didn’t really have any real goal scoring chances in the entire semi final. Thus, Olimpique Marrsellie remains the only French side to have won the Champions League.
A lot of beer will be drunk in Bavaria as Bayern are headed for yet another CL Final. It will be their 3rd Final for the last 11 years and with the players they posses in their ranks, they have very good chances of winning the entire competition.
Whether they play Barcelona or Inter we will find out tomorrow. Inter is the side looking more likely to qualify for that last game as they take a 3-1 advantage to Camp Nou. So are we in for a Bayern Munich vs Internazional 2010 CL Final? Certainly looks like it.
